“With a voice like Nina Simone on Plain Gold Ring and a theatrical ambition like Bjork.”
(CRACK Magazine)

“What an amazing sound!”
(Huw Stephens, Radio 1)

"Grimes inspired Fran Lobo to push the limits of pop but her sound is all her own"

"Full of growling basslines, warped double vocals and her exploration of dance and electronica, it’s a complete channelling of emotion that takes you through the twists and turns of her life and provides a beautifully cathartic listening experience. A multi-talented music master [...] Fran Lobo is a force unto herself."
(Wonderland Magazine)

"Threateningly blunt acoustic percussion drives Lobo’s fearless vocals onward, conjuring an ominous soundscape that wholly captures the unnerving yet strangely euphoric phenomenon of uncertain affection. "

"Provocative and impossible to pin down [...] an oblique sense of digital soul"
(Clash Magazine)

A cornucopia of classic soul, Indian melodies and contemporary gospel, “WAR” showcases Fran Lobo’s powerful vocals and intelligent production arrangements.
(Line Of Best Fit)

FRAN LOBO is a one of a kind. The London-based singer songwriter is currently carving out a niche of her own, creating music that all at once manages to be ethereal, empowering and perfect for a sing-along, and conjuring up comparisons to artists as diverse as PJ Harvey, Grimes and Rage Against the Machine.
